General history and facts:

”M/S Värmdö” is a passenger ship launched on 22nd of March 1990 by Oskarshamns varv AB, Sweden. It was delivered to Waxholms Ångfartygs AB in April 1990 and quickly after that it entered service. Since 1993, it transports passengers in the Stockholm's archipelago. It has four sister ships, named ”M/S Vaxö”, ”M/S Viberö”, ”M/S Vånö” and ”M/S Väddö”. The main engines were changed in 2001 and once more in 2010 to the current configuration with MTU 12V 2000. Since 2019 the ship is operated by Blidösundsbolaget AB, Stockholm.
