General history and facts:

”M/S Vånö” is a passenger ship launched on 8th of March 1991 by “Oskarshamns varv AB”, Sweden. It was delivered to Waxholms Ångfartygs AB on 4th of April 1991 and entered service later that month. It has four sister ships, named ”M/S Vaxö”, ”M/S Viberö”, ”M/S Väddö” and ”M/S Värmdö”. Since 1993, it transports passengers in the Stockholm's archipelago. The first change of the main engines was in 2002. In 2011 it was fit with the current engines, “MTU 12V 2000”. Since 2019 the ship is operated by Blidösundsbolaget AB, Stockholm.
