How to know if aircraft is actively in service?

The advanced radiolocation is reliable method to simultaneously follow many aircraft in the sky. If the radio signal comes from a 3D-coordinates in the air, then the machine is certainly active and performing a passenger or a cargo flight. In the following monthly logs a sample of the most common aircraft types detected by radiolocation is shown:

Airbus

"Seeing is believing" is a popular saying and indeed, a nice photograph of aircraft in the sky confirms the radar observations. Many eye-catching modifications are ready for browsing in the following picture gallery. The links bellow are organised by registration issuing country and then by the registration number. The same technology alows to follow the fate of the aircraft, which were confiscated by the Russian Federation in March 2022 following the international sanctions. The list of the airframes, which were detected to fly without proper Certificate of Airworthiness is here.

How about the rotorcraft?

The rotorcraft section includes information about the various machines, such as helicopters and autogyros. These type of aircraft are harder to be detected from a distance, but close-up pictures are available for several machines.
