General history and facts:

”M/S Baltic Queen” is a cruise ship and Ro-Pax ferry, launched on 5th December 2008 and delivered to “Tallink” on 16th April 2009. The ship was built by Aker Yards/STX Europe shipyard in Rauma, Finland as the third of a series of three ships of the Galaxy-class. The other two are “M/S Galaxy” and “M/S Baltic Princess”. On 24th of April 2009, “Baltic Queen” entered service on the route Tallinn–Mariehamn–Stockholm with a home-port of Tallinn. Between November and December 2009 it was temporary assigned the route Turku–Mariehamn–Stockholm. In 2014 “Baltic Queen”was moved to serve Tallinn–Helsinki route. From the end of 2018 it was moved back to the originally planned route, Tallinn–Mariehamn–Stockholm.
