General history and facts:

”M/S Prinsen” is a passenger ship built in 1962 at “AB Fisksätra” shipyard, Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. In May 1965 it was delivered to “Blidö-Expressen” with a home port of Stockholm. In 1972 new engines of the type Scania-Vabis DSI 11, 800 hp (588 kW) were installed. In 1978 “Prinsen” was sold to “Allt i Sjötjänst”, Söderöra and put into traffic in the north part of the Stockholm's archipelago on the route Solö - Högmarsö - Furusund - Rödlöga. In 1983 it was sold to “Kronuddens Taxi & Charterbåtar HB”, Vaxholm and was transferred to traffic of the middle parts of the Stockholm's archipelago. It was renovated in 1987 and latter in 1990. In year 2000, the engines of “Prinsen” were changes to Scania DI12, 1,000 hp (735 kW).
