General history and facts:

”M/S Sjöbris” is a passenger ship built in 1987 by Marinteknik Verkstads AB for Stockholms Skärgårdstrafik AB, Sweden. It has a sister ship, named ”M/S Sjögull”. For several years it was used to carry passengers on the route Stockholm - Vaxholm - Blidösundet - Arholma. In 1990 it was sold to Norra Skärgårdstrafiken AB, Sweden and ten years later was sold to Blidösundsbolaget AB to served the same route in the Stockholm's archipelago. New engines, Scania DSI 14 type, were installed in 2003. Sjöbris was extensively renovated in 2007 in Oskarshamn shipyard, Oskarshamn. In 2011 was classified with a capacity of 233 passengers. In 2019 new more powerful engines were installed, three Scania DI13 with total output of 1,215 kW. Consequently, the capacity was increased to 344 passengers.
