General history and facts:
”M/T Astral” is an ICE 1A - class tanker for chemicals and oil products, sailing under flag of Sweden with a home-port at Donsö. It was built in 2006 as “Hull 47” in Torlak Shipyard, Turkey. With its gross-tonnage of 7,636 (net tonnage 3,644) it is able to fit more than 12 thousand cubic meters of liquid cargo. The deadweight of “Astral ” is about 11,317 t, corresponding to a small coastal taker class under the AFRA system.
