General history and facts:

”Shamrock” is a galeas built in 1915 as a fishing vessel at the shipyards near Vlaardingen in the Netherlands. It was used for commercial fishing in the Norwegian and North seas. Latter served as a cargo ship in the Swedish waters. In 1969, Shamrock was bought by Birkagården and since that time the vessel is used as a training sailing ship. Shamrock is currently managed by Skeppsholmsgården and sails in the waters of the Stockholm's archipelago.
