General history and facts:

”S/S Storskär” is a passenger ship propelled by steam engine, built at Lindholmens shipyard in Gothenburg and launched on 4th of April 1908. It was put into traffic on 11th of July 1908 at the route Stockholm-Strängnäs. Therefore, it was initially named Strängnäs Express. In 1939 it was bought by Waxholmsbolaget and since 1940 bears the name S/S Storskär. It serves regular passenger traffic in the Stockholm's archipelago. The steam-engine has been changed twice, and since 1999 Storskär is able to travel with speed up to 14.5 knots. Since 2008 it is listed as a historic Swedish ship (K-marked).
