General history and facts:

”M/S Solöga” is a passenger ship built in 1978 by Götaverken-Finnboda AB for Waxholms Ångfartygs AB, Sweden. Soon after the ship was put in service in the Stockholm's archipelago. In 1994 the operation of the vessel was taken by Stockholms Sjötrafik AB, Stockholm. In 2000, “Solöga” was renovated at Oskarshamn’s shipyard where changes of the interior and exterior were introduced, but also the main engines were exchanged to Mitsubishi S6R2, 650 hp (478 kW). On 16th of April 2007 the operator changed to Bolling & Norling Rederi AB, Stockholm and on 1st of January 2014 the operator changed again to Blidösundsbolaget Management AB. In August 2019 the renovation of “Solöga” at Djupvik’s shipyard was complete. The ship’s interior was changed and new engines of a type Mitsubishi S6R2-T2 MPTK, 650 hp (478 kW) were installed.
