It was delivered in April 1984 under the name “Juno” and on 2nd of May started its service on the route Stockholm–Söderköping–Motala–Vänersborg–Gothenburg . It was originally fit with a steam-engine, “Motala” 240 hp (176 kW). In May 1877 it was transferred to the route Mariestad–Sjötorp–Kristinehamn–Karlstad or Lidköping–Hellekis–Brommö–Kristinehamn – Karlstad, in 1978 to the route Lidköping–Brommö–Kristinehamn–Karlstad and Lidköping–Köpmannebro–Åmål–Karlstad, in 1882 to the route Gothenburg–Trollhättan–Vänersborg–Karlstad–Kristinehamn–Mariestad–Lidköping, in 1985 to the route Stockholm–Söderköping–Motala–Vadstena–Karlstad–Vänersborg–Gothenburg, in 1888 to the route Stockholm–Söderköping–Motala–Lidköping–Vänersborg–Gothenburg . In 1905 “Juno” was renovated at “Motala Verkstads Nya AB” at Beckholmen in Stockholm with changes in the exterior and interior and installation of electrical lights. During the First World War it was out of traffic, because of lack of passengers. In April 1919 it was travelling again and in August the home port was changed to Gothenburg. In 1946 “Juno” was enlarged for the third time to 30.92 m in length and 6.69 m in width, resulting in a new gross tonnage of 281 gt. In 1956 the steam engine was exchanged with two diesel motors Volvo Penta, 330 hp (243 kW) and from October that year was starting to serve the traffic on the Göta channel. In 1957 it was sold to “ Rederi AB Göta Kanal”with a new home-port in Lidköping. In 1961 it was rebuilt in “Karlstads Mekaniska Verkstad” and it was slightly enlarged. There was another enlargement in 1984 to the current dimensions of length and beam of 31,45 m and 6,87 m, respectively. In 1986 the owner was changed to “Canalroute AB”, in 1996 to “Rederi AB Astrea” and in 2001 to “Strömma Turist & Sjöfart AB” with a home port in Gothenburg. In 2002 there was a renovation of the ship at “Tjörnvarvet AB”. On 18th of May 2005 “Juno” was listed as a historic Swedish ship (K-marked). In 2009 the engines were exchanged at “Ö-varvet AB”, Öckerö with the model Volvo Penta TAMD 100A, 462 hp (340 kW).
