General history and facts:

”M/S Silverö” is a passenger ship launched in 1970 by Marinteknik Verkstads AB. The first owner was Kent Krusell Fartygsservice and the ship was used for passengers commute on the route Stockholm-Sandhamn. In 1971 the vessel was sold to Waxholmsbolaget, who utilise it for more than two decades. In 1994, the management and ownership of Silverö was transferred to Stockholms Sjötrafik AB, while in 2000 the ship was sold to Gotska Sandö Rederi AB. In 2006 Ressel Rederi AB bought the while company Gotska Sandö Rederi. During 2008 Silverö was modernised and transferred as a charter vessel at the Stockholm's archipelago. In 2016, Silverö was bought by Blidösundsbolaget, although the ship continues to serve passengers of Waxholmsbolaget.
