General history and facts:

The ”HMS M22” passenger ship was built in 1941 at Karlskrona shipyard, Sweden. The ship was originaly designed as a a minesweeper for the Swedish Navy. It entered military service on 16th of October 1941 under the name “HMS M22”. During the 1970s it was used as patrolling vessel around Luleå. In 1993 it was repurposed into marine training vessel for navigation. In 2004, M22 left the service in the Swedish Navy and since then it is used as a passenger ship in the Stockholm's archipelago.
