General history and facts:

”M/S Viking Grace” is a cruise ship and Ro-Pax ferry, launched on 10th of August 2012 and delivered to “Viking Line” on 10th of January 2013. It was registered with a home port of Mariehamn, Finland and put into service on 13 of January 2013 on the route Turku–Långnäs/Mariehamn–Stockholm. The ship is powered by liquefied natural gas and diesel fuel, making it the first LNG-powered passenger ship. Initially, “Viking Grace” was fit with a rotor-sail, but the sail was removed in 2021. It has a sister ship, named “M/S Viking Glory”, with very similar design and appearance. “Viking Grace” is certified as Ice-class 1A Super and is regarded as one of the most environmentally friendly cruise-ferries in the region.
