Boeing 707 order history and production

According to the official archives of the manufacturer, accessed via WayBackMachine, Boeing 707 was produced in 1,010 units. All variations and their numbers are listed in the small table. Boeing 720 is a later modification of the original Boeing 707 and it is part of the same production line.

In the larger table the serial numbers of all Boeing 707 and Boeing 720 are sorted with additional information about the first flight, the last registration and the status of the airframe. The first prototype of Boeing 707 is also included, although it is not officially part of the production line. The MSN/LN 20518/856 and 20519/858 were converted for the needs of the US military, changed the line-number, but not the manifacturer serial number to respectively 20518/898 and 20519/920. This affects the count of airframes. Total 1,010 units were part of the production line and a single prototype with MSN/LN 17158/0.
