The intended market for Bell 429 was the emergency medical service. However, despite of all efforts to accommodate features needed for such use, Bell 429 “GlobalRanger” had limited acceptance as an ambulance helicopter. In its first decade after the introduction in 2009, the model was used primarily for law enforcement operations in police departments and coast guard units.
