The Leonardo AW139 is designed to fit multiple roles and carry substantial amount of load. The rotorcraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PT6C engines, driving the five-blade main rotor with a titanium hub. The tail rotor is an articulated four-bladed classical solution. The landing gear sits in tricycle configuration and it is fully retractable for improved aerodynamics.
